The Plains people made beautiful art.
The women are known for their quillwork and beadwork. Instead of using beads, they wove geometrical-shaped designs into their clothes, moccasins and other items using porcupine quills. The quills were dyed with natural dyes. The stitching was done so well that the end result looked like beadwork.
They made beautiful paintings with natural dyes made of berries and other plants. Most paintings were action scenes.
They carved beautiful pipes out of wood. Some were very nicely decorated.
